COTTAGE RENTAL INFORMATION & INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

      

Rental rates: High season (only weekly rentals) – last week of June to – first week of September: $1600.00 per week. Weekly rental periods run from Saturday to Saturday. Check in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am.

Low season rentals from April to 3rd week in June & Sept. to Thanksgiving, min. 3 nights – $675.00 or one week $1225.00. (includes HST)

A 50% deposit is required when booking the cottage with the balance due one month prior to the rental period.

Maximum of 12 persons, no camping trailers or RV’s ….

 

Cottage amenities and “rules”

Cottage is “self catering” bring your own linens/bedding (sheets or sleeping bags/pillows) and towels

Cottage does not have internet service, but has a cell phone signal reception booster for your cell phone/hot spot

No smoking inside cottage or bunkies, if you smoke outside please dispose of “butts” in fire pit

No pets allowed 

Noise – please be considerate of other cottagers, no loud music, no fireworks as per new bylaw

Sleeping: main cottage has 3 bedrooms, master has a queen bed and two bedrooms with bunk beds as well as a loft with king mattress, two additional bunkies each with two twin beds -sleeps up to 12 persons (there are some blankets at cottage)

Washroom(s) – cottage has a 3 piece bath (shower only – no tub), the cottage is on septic system, (do not flush any diaper wipes or feminine products). There is also an exterior shower (behind cottage) and a composting toilet (composting toilet is for adult use only – follow posted instructions)

Kitchen – has full size refrigerator, 24” stove, microwave, coffee maker, pots & pans and dishes/cutlery (please empty fridge at end of rental period) There is also a propane BBQ (please clean at end of rental period)

Water – the water is from a well and has some mineral content (fine for cooking/washing) you may wish to bring bottled for drinking 

Garbage – pick up is on Mondays, 2 bag limit, please leave garbage in steel container at end of driveway with “flag” in “up” position

Campfires – only use fire pit in front of cottage, firewood is stored beside “log cabin” bunkie, there is also a wood stove in cottage

Beach – there is a beautiful sand beach 5 minutes walk at end of road (Black Creek Provincial Park – day use only with toilets and 800 acres with hiking trails – beware of poison ivy) and the lake/Myles Bay in front of the cottage has a shallow access for swimming and canoeing/kayaking, and a new dock to watch the sunsets. There is a canoe and two kayaks stored under the cottage, please return them after each use, do not leave out at the lake and please carry (not drag) them. There are also some bikes and a wagon stored behind the “log cabin” bunkie

Please do not handle/play with any antiques/nostalgia hanging in the cottage

When it’s time to go home, please leave the cottage the way you found it, clean & tidy and don’t forget to share your cottage experience in our guest book, please advise us by phone or email if something is/gets damaged or broken…
